We did the grunt work of compiling the 2022 French Open schedule and streaming services that cover the event. If you don’t have cable TV, you can watch this year’s French Open tennis tournament on your smartphone or computer. Some of these streaming services are free, while others require a subscription.

May 22 – May 30: Qualifying Rounds (1st – 4th rounds).May 31 – June 1: Quarter Finals.June 2 – June 3: Semifinals.June 4: Women’s Final and Men’s Doubles Final.June 5: Men’s Final and Women’s Double Final.
2022 French Open Broadcasting Partners/Networks
In the United States, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) and Tennis Channel will televise the tournament in the United States and its territories. Eurosport holds the right to exclusively televise French Open tournaments in several European countries—Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, etc.—up until 2026. ServusTV (owned by Red Bull) is an official broadcast partner for the tournament. The streaming service will provide live coverage of the 2022 French Open for Austrian residents. RDS (Réseau des sports (RDS) and The Sports Network (TSN) are official Roland Garros broadcasters for Canadian viewers. We highlight some streaming services that support these broadcasting networks.
ServusTV
ServusTV is an Austria-based TV station, but you can also stream live and on-demand content on the streaming app. The ServusTV app is available for free on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Likewise, you can live stream sports events and other programs for free. We should mention that the ServusTV app is in German, and there’s no option to translate to other languages. So you may find it challenging to navigate the app and its content. Additionally, you’ll need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access ServusTV content outside Austria.
9Now
You can watch the French Open on 9Now’s “Wide World of Sport (WWOS)” channel if you’re in Australia. Download the 9Now app on your device, create a Nine account, and watch all French Open games for free. 9Now works on Apple TV, smartphones, Android TV, and Smart TV (LG and Samsung) models. If you’re subscribed to Prime Video, you can watch French Open games at no additional charges or fees. Otherwise, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee (€5.99/month or €49/year) after a 7-day trial.
Tennis Channel
A Tennis Channel Plus subscription gets you access to thousands of live and on-demand tennis matches across multiple tournaments. The Tennis Channel app is available for smartphones, smart TVs, and streaming devices (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.). You can also stream the 2022 French Open on any web browser via the Tennis Channel website. Tennis Channel Plus costs $109.99/year and is only available in the United States and all U.S. territories. As a subscriber, you can live stream all tennis tournaments (e.g., U.S. Open) until your plan expires. Unless you’re a tennis fanatic, buying an annual subscription only to watch the 2022 French Open isn’t economical.
Peacock TV
With a Peacock Premium subscription ($4.99/month), you can watch the French Open online on NBC. Another $9.99/month “Premium Plus” subscription plan offers similar channels but without ads or mid-game interruptions. Peacock TV supports many mobile devices (Android, iOS, Fire Tablets), smart TVs, and streaming devices (Android TV, Chromecast, etc.). Peacock TV is an American streaming service. Hence, your device must be in the United States or supported U.S. territories to stream French Open matches. You can use a VPN to bypass Peacock’s geo-restriction.
YouTube TV
Live matches from the 2022 French Open will be available on YouTube TV via the NBC channel. New users can watch French Open online for free within the first seven days of registration. When the trial period ends, you’ll need to pay a $64.99 monthly subscription to watch the rest of the tournament. At the time of publishing, YouTube TV is available for $14.99—a first month discount for new users only. Like Peacock TV, YouTube TV is also available throughout the United States only.
Sling TV
A Sling Blue subscription ($35/month) grants you access to NBC’s live coverage of the 2022 French Open. There’s no free trial, but new users get 50% off the first subscription. Sling TV also supports the Tennis Channel, but it’s included in a “Sports Extra” add-on plan. You need to pay an extra $13/month in addition to a Sling Orange or Sling Blue subscription to access Tennis Channel. That’s $48/month—$30.5/month for new users. Sling TV is geo-blocked in regions outside the United States. In addition, the streaming service is available on select models of streaming devices and smart TVs. Refer to this Sling TV Help Center document for a comprehensive list of supported devices.
DIRECTV Stream
Formerly AT&T TV, DIRECTV offers three subscription plans (Choice, Ultimate, and Premier) that include the Tennis Channel. DirecTV Choice costs $79.99/month and has over 90 channels. The “Ultimate” plan with 130+ channels is $94.99/month, while the high-end Premier subscription is $139.99. View the complete DirecTV Stream channel lineup before choosing a subscription plan. The “Choice” subscription should suffice if you only want to watch the French Open online on the Tennis Channel.
The Sports Network (TSN) and Réseau Des Sports (RDS)
TSN is a Canadian-English sports television channel licensed to broadcast the French Open, Wimbledon Championship, and other tennis tournaments. Réseau des sports (RDS) offers the same channels as TSN. Broadcasting language is a significant difference. Think of RDS as the french version of TSN. Install the RDS app instead if you’d rather watch the 2022 French Open in French. Or stream directly on the RDS website in your web browser. The $19.99 subscription allows you to watch the 2022 French Open on TSN and RDS. Plus, you can stream content on two devices simultaneously with one subscription. The TSN and RDS apps are available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Don’t Miss the Action.
FuboTV and Hulu Live TV ( $69.99/month) are other noteworthy streaming services. They offer the NBC Sports channel and are available in the U.S. only. Note that accessing geo-blocked content using a VPN service may be prohibited by some streaming apps. Go through a platform’s terms of service and make sure you aren’t breaking any rules.
